My initial definition of curriculum was:
- Guidelines for what content needs to be taught and what skills need to be developed in a given course.
Over the course of this class, I have used our class discussions and examined some resources to help refine my definition of curriculum. My most current definition of curriculum is:
- Curriculum identifies intended learning objectives and skills that need to be developed in a given course. Curriculum also provides the specific instructional strategies, learning activities and methods of assessment.
